Hot Wax

I’ve been really impressed with this wax. It goes on smoothly, scrapes easily, and keeps my skis running fast in a variety of conditions. I love that it’s plant-based and better for the environment without sacrificing performance. As a ski instructor and park skier, I put a lot of days on my gear, and this wax has held up great. I’ll definitely keep using it.

I taught my sons how to tune their own skis. I mostly used Swix, Toko or Hertl’s Hot Sauce.

Have been using these wax options for past four years and very impressed. I mix the cool w hot and it’s perfect for southwest Colorado where the temps fluctuate quickly.
Also nice not to be breathing in the chemicals of old school wax

Wanted this wax since it was plant based and never realized how bad other waxes were. Was looking for an all temp wax, since I live in the PNW, where conditions can be a wide variety of temps as well and I don't want to switch waxes or remember what wax I have on my skis. Wax went on super well and smoothed out exceptionally well, probably one of the best waxes I have applied. I took one star off because when I was scraping wax off it chipped off in a few places where my ski was either a little contoured or I added too much wax. But after a re-heat and re-smooth out with the iron, really enjoyed the finished product and it felt great on the mountain!

Wax was very easy to apply smells quite good not much snow here in Colorado but skied once and it worked great. Would highly recommend to my skiing friends. Nice that it is good for the front range water supply also.

I was thrilled when REI offered me a chance to test this plant-based ski wax. I've been reading about the hazards of forever chemicals (aka PFAS) in the environment and unfortunately, ski wax is a source. That makes me sad since I use wax on my downhill and cross-country skis, but since snow is also our water supply, It seems smart to keep it chemical free as much as possible. I used the All-Temp wax and followed the advice shown in the "Hot Crayon Waxing Technique" video on the MountainFLOW website, which uses less wax by softening the wax on your iron and then rubbing it on the skis. It took me about half of the block to wax three pairs of skis. The wax melts beautifully just like its supposed to and the product website says my hot wax job will last from 4-6 days depending on snow conditions. I tried out my freshly waxed skis on crunchy early-season manmade snow and was pleased with the glide, particularly noticeable skiing from hardpack into the softer snow blasting out of the cannons. I'm looking forward to trying out this eco-friendly wax on grabby spring snow.

the day i reviewed it was very cold corn snow up at Timberlin Lodge the wax seemed to hold up well under very tough skiing and snow conditions, seemed to apply evenly with very little effort and stay on

I like that the waxes melt at lower temperatures which reduces my concern about damaging the base of my skis. Also, lower melting temps reduce exposure to smoke and fumes from overheated wax. Minor point: the waxes smell good.

My only negative input is that the waxes are not very durable. I find I need to rewax after every other day of skiing. A bit of a hassle, but a small price to pay for an environmentally friendly product.

Hot Wax

Wax works as promised- ( daily quick wax ) easy to use, however the sponge applicator could be improved as it’s rather difficult to to is. I’m thing a top like shoe shine products use would be much easier to use -

As someone who prefers to ski in nature, this is as good as it gets. I’ve gone through countless bars and love the performance. Most places you shred is someone’s watershed!

Works as well as the petroleum based products without the petroleum.

I like it, I think I left it on to long it hardens up pretty solid going to park city Sunday I think my enforcer 100s will love it

Okay, this stuff is something else... why... well its just as good as any other wax out there and rips hard!.. This is something you can put on your board or skis and feel good about how your helping out the environment. If you ride a lot and wanna use something just as good as any other hot wax. check this stuff out.. youll love it!

Just a word of warning. Mice find it very tasty. I got a sample bar with a new pair of skis I bought this year and I stuck it in my wax drawer. I came back a few weeks ago to wax with it, but it was gone! All gone except for parts of the box. None of my other hydrocarbon waxes were touched. Gonna have some slippery mouse turds around.

I don't know if less / non toxic is a feature / benefit but it would make sense.
Breck tested. Falcon, Imperial, Kensho. And all in between. March / April. Used Blue / Cool. Wax guy (me) received no complaints. All good. We are Go Fly.

We loved Eco Wax for the idea even before we first tried it. Now we are waxing and tuning our own boards and skis and not leaving a toxic trail wherever we play!

Performs well just like any other wax. I have been using the all weather and warm wax for three years. During that time I have put other people on my department on this wax also and about 80% also like it. Scraping is a bit harder than other waxes, but if you use the Crayon method it is not really an issue. Please watch the video on this site for the CRAYON METHOD, it also uses way less wax.

I've been an avid snowboarder for nearly 30 years and a cross country skier for 10. I have to recommend this product wholeheartedly. It's healthy for you to wax with, it's good for the environment, and it's wicked fast! Buy all the temps because it's fun to notice the differences with the waxes and they smell fantastic.

I was originally disappointed in their wax. I let them know why. They indicated they had changed formula and shipped me two blocks of wax for free as they stand 100% behind their produce. The new formula is better, wax is great and a company that actually communicates with you and stands behind their product. Rare these days it seems. Thanks.

Waxed skis for the first time myself and it was a breeze. Its very easy to use and delivered great results on the slopes. Make sure to watch the videos on the website for instructions. And best of all, its environmentally friendly!

Very easy to apply, scrapes off well and glides very well on snow

I waxed my skis with my first purchase of the MountainFLOW all temp wax yesterday. I used the crayoning method suggested in the company video and it did cut down on the waste from the drip method. I did notice that I had to move the iron much slower to melt the wax into the base even after I turned the temp up a little higher. I let the skis sit overnight and scraped and finished them the next morning. Scraping seemed a lot more labor intensive than my other all temp wax. I would compare the effort to the low temp race wax I used in the past. I got out to the ski hill later in the morning and wow! The glide was so much better and actually going down the run this stuff really ripped. I will make this my permanent selection for waxes especially since it helps maintain our environment. I ski with a friend whose skis always seem faster than mine, but today I actually kept up with him. Maybe he just took his foot off the gas today but I'm giving credit to the wax.
